How to Get Involved as an Awana Volunteer
Awana missionaries serve churches in a variety of ways. Ask your missionary what you can do to contribute to the ministry in your area. You will be surprised how much you are needed.
Here are a few opportunities available to serve with an Awana missionary:
- Dedicate yourself to pray by requesting your missionary's prayer card or newsletter.
- Give a special financial gift or commit to ongoing financial support.
- If interested in contributing financially to U.S. Awana missionaries, donate securely to a specific missionary online or send a check payable to Awana Clubs International. To designate a specific missionary or ministry, write the name of that missionary or ministry on the memo line of the check. All contributions to missionaries are tax deductible.
- Become a member of the missionary's ministry team and help service churches by:
- Starting new clubs
- Training leaders
- Organizing or assisting with AwanaGamesTM, Bible Quizzing, Sparks-a-Rama, Awana Grand Prix or Awana Ministry Conferences.
- Provide training support to children's and youth ministry workers and parents in the local church by serving as a Rorheim Institute ambassador.
Other programs where you may consider serving:
- Did you ever think of going to prison? Probably not, but here is an opportunity for you to do just that. Spend a day at Returning Hearts Celebration and see how God is working in the lives of inmates and their children.
- Do you want to see the culmination of the Awana program in the life of a young person? Summit is an opportunity for students and youth leaders to connect with others and build authentic Christian community. Youth will participate in AwanaGames, Bible Quizzing and Fine Arts competitions as well as be challenged to know, love, serve and celebrate God. There are many opportunities to serve at Summit.
